Minor League Recap: Charlie Furbush goes seven, Toledo beats Lehigh Valley

New, 14 comments

Whew... I can finally load BYB. Sorry about the recap outage... I've been battling my internet connection here at home (either that or my laptop's wireless card is going). Here's hoping I'm back for good now... especially since I'm preparing a minor league report very soon (I'm waiting for a set amount of PA's).

AAA: Toledo 4, Lehigh Valley 2

Charlie Furbush continues his dominance of the minor leagues, this time allowing two earned runs to Lehigh Valley in seven innings. Furbush struck out six and walked two, giving up a homer in the process. Danny Worth was 3-4, Will Rhymes was 3-3 and Ben Guez was 2-4 with a double.

AA: Altoona 7, Erie 2

LJ Gagnier got lit up for seven runs (six earned) in 5.2 innings. He walked three and struck out two. Michael Bertram was 4-4 with a homer.

A+: Port St Lucie 7, Lakeland 0

Forgettable game for Lakeland. Starter Jared Wesson gave up five earned runs in 4.2 innings, and the offense consisted of five singles and a walk. Avisail Garcia also got a stolen base.

A: West Michigan 5, South Bend 3

Kevin Eichhorn went six innings, allowing two runs (one earned) while striking out two and walking one. Nick Castellanos was 2-4.
