Ramon Garcia gave up an earned run in 4.2 innings of work, striking out three and walking two. Ryan Strieby was 1-4 with a double.
Luke Sorensen struck out four and walked two in seven innings of work, surrendering an earned run. Fransisco Martinez was 3-3 with a homer.
Jared Wesson gave up an earned run in 6.1 innings, walking three and striking out five. Gustavo Nunez was 1-3 with a walk and a triple and Jordan Lennarton was 2-4 with two doubles.
A: West Michigan 2, Fort Wayne 1
Jeff Ferrel pitched 2.1 innings, giving up an earned run on a solo home run. He also walked two and struck out one. Bruce Rondon struck out two in a hitless inning for the save. Hernan Perez was 3-3 with a double.
Saturday, May 21
AAA: Toledo 5, Pawtucket 4 (11 innings)
Thad Weber gave up four runs (three earned) in his six innings of work, striking out five and walking one while giving up one homer. The bullpen shut down Pawtucket for the next five innings; kudos go to Robbie Weinhardt for two strikeouts in a hitless inning. Will Rhymes was 2-4 with a walk and Cale Iorg hit a home run.
AA: Erie 3, Bowie 2 (12 innings)
Jacob Turner went eight innings for Erie, giving up two earned runs while striking out eight and walking one. Chance Ruffin struck out four and walked one in 2.2 hitless innings. Jamie Johnson was 3-6 with a double.
Cole Nelson gave up three earned runs in six innings, striking out six and walking one. Gustavo Nunez was 1-3 with a double and a walk.
A: Fort Wayne 9, West Michigan 7
Kyle Ryan gave up five earned runs in 4.2 innings, walking one and striking out three. James Robbins was 2-4 with a homer and Nick Castellanos doubled.
Friday, May 20
Adam Wilk went 7.2 innings, walking two, striking out four and giving up one earned run off of a solo home run. Danny Worth was 2-4 while Ryan Strieby hit a home run.
Luke Putkonen gave up six runs (five earned) in five innings, walking three and giving up a home run while also striking out one. Both Jamie Johnson and Bryan Pounds had two hits.
Jay Voss pitched seven innings, allowing one earned run while striking out seven. Wade Gaynor was 1-4 with a double.

Kevin Eichhorn gave up five runs (three earned) in 6.2 innings, striking out five while giving up a homer. James Robbins homered.
