Andy Oliver technically took the start (he went two innings, giving up an earned run and striking out a batter) but Brayan Villarreal pitched a good chunk of the game. He went three hitless innings with three strikeouts. Villarreal will also move back to the rotation for Toledo (to work on his pitches). Will Rhymes was 3-5 with a double and a walk, Ryan Strieby was 2-4 with a double and Cale Iorg was 2-5 with a double.
LJ Gagnier gave up five earned runs over 6.1 innings, striking out two. Rawley Bishop and Bryan Pounds both had two hits.
Trevor Feeney gave up eight runs in four innings, which buried Lakeland early. Brent Wyatt had a double and Corey Jones had a hit and a walk.
Josue Carreno gave up six runs in one inning. Generally, when your starter gives up six runs in the first inning, you aren't going to win, and that was the case here. Nick Castellanos was 2-5 and Ryan Hamme was 2-3 with a home run and a walk.
