Minor League Recap: Avisail Garcia homers as Lakeland stampedes Fort Myers

AAA: Toledo 5, Rochester 0

Toledo's pitching was stellar today: Thad Weber struck out five and walked one in seven innings and Matt Hoffman had two strikeouts in two perfect innings. Timo Perez was 2-4 with a double and a homer.

AA: Erie 3, Binghamton 1 (Game 1)

Jay Voss pitched 5.2 innings, allowing an earned run on a home run. He also walked three and struck out four. Jamie Johnson was 2-3 with a walk and a stolen base.

Binghamton 3, Erie 2 (Game 2)

This being a doubleheader for Erie, the bullpen took the second start. Jared Gayhart gave up two earned runs in 2.2 innings, walking three. Audy Ciriaco tripled.

A+: Lakeland 13, Fort Myers 2

This one was a laugher of a win. Cole Nelson walked three and struck out three in his six innings of work, giving up an earned run in the process. The real story is the offense, though. Avisail Garcia was 4-5 with a homer and a walk, Wade Gaynor was 2-4 with a double, a homer and two walks and Gustavo Nunez was 3-4 with a double, a triple, and two walks.

A: Quad Cities 5, West Michigan 4

Kevin Eichhorn pitched 6.1 innings and gave up three runs, though none were earned. He also struck out four and walked two. Dixon Machado tripled.
