AAA: Toledo 4, Norfolk 3

Adam Wilk surrendered three runs (one earned) in 4.1 innings, striking out four and walking one. Timo Perez and Will Rhymes both doubled and stole a base.

AA: Trenton 13, Erie 12

Ramon Garcia gave up six earned runs in five innings, Rob Waite gave up four earned runs in two innings and Austin Wood gave up three runs (two earned) without getting a single batter out (he faced five batters). Francisco Martinez was 2-5 with a double while Audy Ciriaco and John Murrian were both 4-5 with a double.

A+: Lakeland 11, Charlotte 0

Drew Smyly struck out six and walked three in six scoreless innings. He also got a boatload of run support: Eric Roof and Tony Plagman both homered, while Brent Wyatt, Jordan Lennarton and Wade Gaynor all had doubles.

A: Kane County 7, West Michigan 6 (15 innings)

Kevin Eichhorn went 6.2 innings, giving up four earned runs and striking out five. Rob Brantly was 4-8, Steven Moya was 3-7 and Nick Castellanos was 2-7.

SS: Connecticut 15, Tri-City 9 (13 innings)

This game featured a whole bunch of young arms pitching short amounts of innings each, so I'll focus on the winning pitcher, cousin of Tigers All-Star catcher Nicholas Avila, who gave up two earned runs in two innings while striking out two and walking one. Colin Kaline was 3-5 with a double and a walk, Bo McClendon was 0-4 with three walks (and three strikeouts) and even Patrick Leyland got into things, but only as a pinch hitter (he went 0-1).
