What to Watch For:

1. All eyes on Jacob Turner -- Detroit's top prospect will be making his major league debut this afternoon on national television, most likely in a spot start as the Tigers work to complete a trade for Seattle starter Doug Fister.

2. Ace vs. Ace - The Sunday matchup will be two Cy Young candidates squaring off on the rubber. Verlander vs. Weaver - Sunday! Sunday! Sunday! Although Verlander hasn't been as sharp as he's been, he still is getting something the Tigers need - wins. In his last 3 starts, Verlander is 2-1 with a 3.68 ERA. Weaver, on the other hand, has been lights out all season. In his last 3 starts - 3-0 with a 1.31 ERA. On a positive note - Peralta(.409), Ordonez(.400), Guillen(.529), Cabrera(.333), and Boesch(.400) all have had success against Weaver in the past.

3. Peralta still on fire - Tigers shortstop Jhonny Peralta is still on a hot streak with with bat. In his last 10 games, he is hitting .389 with 2 homeruns and 12 RBIs.

On Deck:
Tigers will start August off with a much needed day off on Monday. The Rangers are in town for a 3-game series on Tuesday.
