Minor League Recap: Jacob Turner holds Bryce Harper hitless, Erie loses anyway

AAA: Indianapolis 10, Toledo 4

LJ Gagnier gave up ten runs (nine earned) in 4.2 innings. On the plus side, Carlos Guillen was back in the lineup and he hit a home run. The rest of the offense was rather mediocre; Ben Guez was 2-4 with a double.

AA: Harrisburg 7, Erie 3

On the bright side, Jacob Turner held Bryce Harper hitless. On the dark side, this was one of his worst starts of the year. Turner gave up seven earned runs in seven innings, walking four and striking out two. Francisco Martinez tripled and Brandon Douglas was 3-4 with a double.

A+: Dunedin 4, Lakeland 2

Trevor Feeney gave up two home runs and three earned runs in seven innings, striking out four and walking one. Tony Plagman had two hits, including a home run.

A: Fort Wayne 5, West Michigan 4

Josue Carreno gave up five runs (four earned), walking four and striking out four. Nick Castellanos was 2-4 with a double.

SS: Lowell 11, Connecticut 7 (Game 1)

Wilsen Palacios gave up eight earned runs in three innings. 2011 fourth round pick Jason King was 3-4 with a double and a triple, Chad Wright was 2-4 with a double and Dean Green was 2-4 with a homer.

Connecticut 2, Lowell 0 (Game 2)

Clemente Mendoza went four shutout innings, walking two and striking out two. The offense was pretty mediocre overall, but Colin Kaline was 2-3 with a stolen base.
