The Detroit Tigers announced potential World Series tickets will go on sale at 10AM tomorrow, Wednesday Oct. 17th. The only caveat? Each buyer will be limited to 1 game and 4 tickets.
Due to the NL winning the glorified exhibition known as the MLB All-Star Game, thus earning home field advantage, the World Series games and dates are set in stone. If the Tigers win the ALCS, they would host games 3, 4 and 5, scheduled for Oct. 27-29, Saturday through Monday. Start times are listed as TBD.
Despite being up 2-0 in the ALCS, there's no hubris involved. Putting World Series tickets on sale is just standard operating procedure for any team participating in a League Championship Series.
