This news has been filtering its way through social media and the Internet for the past few days, but we just received all the details about it today. Justin Verlander's cereal, Fastball Flakes, has hit store shelves. If you don't live in Michigan, never fear, you can order them online as well. Wait, you say. I really like that logo. Can I get it on a T-shirt? Why, yes! Yes you can.

Verlander has coupled with PLP Sports, the folks behind Doug Flutie Flakes, which you might remember from years ago. Verlander flakes are a frosted corn flake, and the limited-edition boxes hold 14 ounces each. They're being sold exclusively at Meijer stores in Detroit, Lansing, Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids. You can also order boxes in packages of two online here for $10. There is also a T-shirt available for $15. The combo pack is $19.

This isn't an advertisement, though. So why am I trying to sell you on going out and buying some?

PLP states:

Justin will be donating 100 percent of his proceeds from the cereal to the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center in Detroit and to the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System. The facilities serve almost 800,000 veterans living in Detroit and Ann Arbor areas. Justin is a proud supporter of the men and women who serve our country. He started Verlander's Victory for Veterans Foundation as a way to benefit the Veterans in Michigan.

That is a wonderful cause. It's great to see it.
