The Detroit Tigers announced a pair of completely expected roster moves immediately after their 5-2 loss to the White Sox.

Danny Worth was sent to Toledo to make room for Brandon Inge, who has ended his stint on the 15 day DL. Brayan Villarreal will join Worth on the trip to Triple A, as roster space was needed for Saturday's starting pitcher, Adam Wilk.

With the White Sox starting the left handed Chris Sale on Sunday, I'm sure we'll see Inge get his first start of the season. Wilk is taking Doug Fister's spot in the rotation, as he's on the 15 day DL recovering from a rib strain.

It's sad to see anyone lose their job, but it's more painful in the case of Worth. He outplayed Inge in spring training, but there's a $6 million contract and 11 years of back history in Inge's favor. Regardless, we need to remember we're discussing end of the bench players who shouldn't make a huge difference for the Tigers this season ... if used correctly, which is always the concern with Inge.
