VIDEO: Defense saves, defense gives away

New, 5 comments

Over the past few days, we've seen the Tigers' defense show a bit of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. One day, Miguel Cabrera is hard charging from third base and making a fabulous throw to first to get the out. The next day he can't quite get a hand on the ball. (I don't think it would have mattered either way, for what it's worth.) And if it's not the Tigers' infield we're talking about, it's the Tigers outfiield OH JACKSON Austin Jackson goes between steady and spectacular in the outfield, but Delmon Young leaves a winding path like Billy in the Family CIrcus as he tries to catch a fly ball to left.

In the end, we're going to see some good plays, and some bad plays, and I don't think the defense is going to prove the prattering national punditry right or wrong. It will continue to be up and down all year.

I talk about that in another Bless You Boys video contribution.
