A few changes for both the Tigers and Royals today, as Detroit hosts Kansas City. Detroit manager Jim Leyland inserted Ryan Raburn into his lineup at fifth. The spot was held by Andy Dirks in Tuesday's game, but Dirks is nursing a sore hamstring still, so he's getting some rest. The Tigers are also loading up on right-handed batters against the Royals' left-handed starting pitcher, Jonathan Sanchez., as DH Brad Eldred and second baseman Danny Worh are rounding out final two spots in the order. There was also a flip-flop of Alex Avila and Jhonny Peralta.

For the Royals, a key change was the addition of second baseman Chris Getz near the bottom of the lineup. The right-hander, as I'm sure you know, hails from Grosse Pointe. Brayan Pena will serve as catcher against Tigers ace Justin Verlander.

Here's the Baseball-Reference stats on the matchup.
