White Sox at Tigers lineups, Friday, May 4

In tonight's lineup, the Detroit Tigers are sending a bunch of left-handed batters out to face the right-handed Chicago starter, Jake Peavy. The Tigers counter him with left-handed rookie Drew Smyly getting the starting nod for the fifth time in his major-league career.

As Rob noted in his preview, Peavy's having a great season. He leads the MLB in ERA. Neither left-handers nor right-handers have hit worth anything off him. Seriously, both have OPS in the 400s. In 2011, right-handers hit him for more average and more power than lefties, but in 2010 and overall, Peavy did better against right-handers than left.
