White Sox at Tigers, lineups, Saturday, May 5

The headline, obviously: Delmon Young makes his return to the Tigers' lineup following a seven-day suspension. Tigers manager Jim Leyland slotted Young back into the fifth spot in the order, batting behind Prince Fielder, just as things were before the alleged incident in New York. Young, however, will be serving as the team's designated hitter rather than left fielder. This is a nice change, as Young's whirligig fielding will be not be an issue. Hopefully this DH thing works out fine. I fear it could be only a matter of time before Leyland decides Young is up to "game speed" again and can return to his outfield position.
