Does the lineup look familar? It should. It's identical to the lineup that manager Jim Leyland used on Sunday. You know how much he likes to change his lineups. It's pretty interesting to see the same one two games in a row, though it looks like a good bet to me.
Interesting thing about this meeting: Neither team has much track record against the opposing starter. Few Mariners have faced former teammate Doug Fister in an official game. No Tigers have met Blake Beavan.
Beavan has some interesting splits in 2012. Left-handers have batted better against him, but take few walks and have a lower on-base percentage. Slugging average is about the same. In 2011, left-handers hammered him pretty well, to the tune of a .314 batting average and .531 slugging average.
