With starting pitcher Drew Smyly being placed on the disabled list last week, the Tigers recalled right-hander Jacob Turner to make the start Tuesday. Turner allowed one run on four hits in five innings in his only start of the season.
Luis Marte was optioned to Triple-A Toledo to make room. He had not seen much action, pitching to just one batter during the Orioles series.
