SB Nation Blog: Let's Go Tribe

Media: Fox Sports Detroit, MLB.TV, Tigers Radio Network

Pitching Matchup: RHP Ubaldo Jimenez (9-14, 5.61 ERA) vs. RHP Doug Fister (7-8, 3.67 ERA)

Jimenez vs. the Tigers in 2012: 24 innings pitched, 2-1, 3.67 ERA, 14 K, 13 BB.

Jimenez vs. everyone else: 140 innings pitched, 7-13, 5.53 ERA, 117 K, 71 BB.

I don't get it any more than you do.

Meanwhile, Fister didn't look 100% healthy during his last start, but hopefully another turn through the rotation provided the rest he needs to regain his late-July form. Still, he was able to get the job done in a pivotal game against the Chicago White Sox, and he'll be called on to do the same today to avoid a sweep at the hands of the bumbling Indians.

Outlook

Please just win.
