The remaining World Baseball Classic provisional team rosters were announced this afternoon after Team USA was released this morning. Three members of the Tigers and a trio of Detroit farm hands will play for various countries in the 3rd annual WBC.

Detroit Tigers participating in the Wold Baseball Classic:
Justin Verlander's Team USA status will remain up in the air for a few weeks.

Miguel Cabrera - The reigning AL MVP and Triple Crown winner let the world know in early December he would play in the WBC.
Anibal Sanchez - The Tigers' newly signed number four starting pitcher will celebrate his new five year, $80 million deal by playing for Venezuela.

Dominican Republic:

Octavio Dotel - The 14 year MLB veteran will play in his first WBC at the age of 39.

Warwick Saupold - The 22 year old Aussie pitcher split 2012 between Single A West Michigan and Lakeland.

Cale Iorg - The once highly lauded prospect is now a 27 year old journeyman infielder who has battled injuries while spending parts of the past three seasons with Triple A Toledo.
Shawn Hill - The Tigers signed the 31 year old starting pitcher as a minor league free agent this past November. Hill has spent small parts of seven seasons in the bigs, making one relief appearance with the Blue Jays in 2012. Hill did the majority of his pitching with Triple A Buffalo in 2012.

The full rosters for all 18 participating countries (where you can then scratch your head over the strained eligibility of some players) at All games will be televised on MLB Network.
