Max Scherzer has some kind of voodoo curse over the Oakland A's. In 21 career innings against the A's, Scherzer has 40 (!) strikeouts. His 40th victim came in the top of the second inning tonight against Seth Smith, who is hitting .500/.560/.909 so far this year.
As FSD play-by-play man Mario Impemba put it, "he just threw his bat at it."
Summary: when you can make a dude hitting .500 look that foolish, you have some seriously nasty stuff.
