In Thursday's action, Toledo gets rained out in the 4th inning; Erie scores 15 runs while pounding out 17 hits; Lakeland loses in 13 innings; and West Michigan still can't get on the field.

Game suspended vs. Columbus, Toledo ahead 2-0 at end of 4th inning. So far, Jose Alvarez has been solid on the mound, while Castellanos and Lennerton have provided the offense.

-RHP Melvin Mercedes: 1 IP, H, 0 R, 0 ER, BB, 0 K. Still has not allowed a run this season in 6 innings, although he's only recorded 1 strikeout.

-RHP Slade Smith: 3 IP, H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, K. 8 of his 9 outs came on groundballs.

-DH Dean Green: 2-5, BB, K

-RF Jeff McVaney: 1-6

-3B Jason King: 1-5

A West Michigan Whitecaps (5-6)

They were scheduled to play a doubleheader vs. Lansing, but were again rained out. I promise they'll play again at some point...I think.
