Minor League Recaps: 5/14/13

Jose Alvarez was really good again in a Toledo win; Erie got rained out; Drew VerHagen dazzled for 6 innings in a Lakeland victory; West Michigan dropped one to Dayton; and the VSL Tigers still haven't found the win column.

AAA Toledo Mud Hens (12-28)

W, 10-2 vs. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Nick Castellanos had 3 hits, Ben Guez had a big game, and Jose Alvarez was once again good on the mound for the Mud Hens; as they beat up on the rehabbing Joba Chamberlain and the rest of the AAA Yankees.

W, 6-1 vs Palm Beach. Drew VerHagen was dominant over his 6 shutout innings; and the Flying Tigers used good offensive days from Tyler Hanover and Mike Hernandez to beat the Cardinals.
