Alex Avila's two-run home run off Jose Veras in the top of the ninth inning gave the Tigers a second consecutive 4-3 victory over the Houston Astros. He got a meaty 3-1 fastball and demolished it, clearing the wall in right-center field.
However, the most interesting part was the celebration as he rounded the bases.
A normal fist pump? Maybe, but when you look at the two most famous home runs in Tigers franchise hisory, you see the similarities.
Minus the Polanco bunny hops, of course.
