Most people are probably expecting the Alex Avila unassisted double play to make its rounds in GIF form -- and I might get to that tomorrow -- but Miguel Cabrera's reaction to Alex Cobb's first curveball of tonight's game shows you how good Cobb was tonight.
Seriously, if you have the best hitter in baseball doing this, then you're on to something.
Rod Allen commented that Cobb learned the curveball from former Rays pitcher James Shields last season. Given that Cobb is now 14-2 with a 2.72 ERA since last August 1st, I think it's safe to say that the hammer may be working.
