Position players taking the mound will never cease being entertaining. All the better when that position player used to play for the Tigers. Thursday, that position-player-pitcher was none other than Ryan Raburn.
Some of us may have gotten a little excited.

Anyway, here's the GIF:
(via Baseball Nation)
Raburn did not actually oppose anyone he was on the team with last year, as he got Brayan Pena, Matt Tuiasosopo (K!) and Hernan Perez out in 1-2-3 fashion in the ninth inning of a blowout game.
Not lost on Tigers fans: Raburn's 1-2-3 contrasted favorably (or unfavorably, I suppose if you're a Tigers fan) with Phil Coke's run allowed in the bottom half of the inning.
Whoops!
And yes, Raburn decided to keep the ball after the final out.
