GIF: Prince Fielder doubles, slides into second with predictable results

Prince Fielder is a good baseball player, but is not renowned for his sliding abilities.

Prince Fielder slides into bases often, but has proven that the old adage "practice makes perfect" is far from gospel. Exhibit 2,794 (we think) occurred tonight. First, the good: Prince laced an outside pitch from Indians starter Zach McAllister off the wall in left-center.

Then, the ugly: Prince had to slide to beat a well-placed throw from left fielder Michael Brantley. He did well to avoid the tag, but high school physics shows us that Prince had a bit too much momentum going into that slide.
