BYB offseason free agent prediction contest

Here is your opportunity to guess which players might become Detroit Tigers for the 2015 season.

Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports

With seven players eligible for free agency, and a few more players being lost on waivers or outrighted off the 40 man roster, there are several vacancies to fill on the roster before the Tigers begin the 2015 baseball season.

Here is your opportunity to guess which players the Tigers might acquire during this off season. Select up to three players, whether they are free agents or players that might be acquired in a trade, as long as the player was not a member of the Tigers at the end of the 2014 season. So, don't list Victor Martinez, for example, as one of your three players.

As a general guide, remember that Dave Dombrowski, in his post season press conference, listed the team's priorities as follows, though not necessarily in any particular order:

  • Bullpen help
  • Center field, either full time or a platoon with Rajai Davis
  • A left-handed bat

Dombrowski said that they would like to resign Victor Martinez, but you can put a designated hitter on your list if you think that's not going to happen. Be creative, be realistic -- or not. It's your ballot.

Here is a list of the free agent players available. The deadline to vote is Friday, November 7. Vote only once.

Please write "My BYB prediction entry" in the headline of your ballot, so we can separate the official entries from other comments when keeping score. Then, just name the three players and, as a tie breaker, how many years they will sign for, if they're a free agent. The person with the most correct answers wins wins a date with Kate Upton or Handsome Rob.
