Tigers third baseman Nick Castellanos wasted no time showing fans a flash of his considerable potential this afternoon, crushing the first pitch he saw from Philadelphia Phillies Kyle Kendrick off the top of the wall in right-center field.
The double cleared the bases to give the Tigers a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Later in the game, Castellanos went oppo taco again for a second double.
He ended his day 2-for-3 with 4 RBI.
