Tigers to introduce Poutine Dogs at Comerica Park

The Tigers and Sportservice have come up with a new take on standard ballpark fare: top hot dogs with poutine. Joining the Poutine Dog on the menu are three other gourmet-style franks.

A day after the Arizona Diamondbacks announced their $25, 18-inch bacon and cheese stuffed corn dog, Crain's Detroit Business is reporting the Tigers are expanding their hot dog menu for the 2014 season.

Take your pick:

  • Poutine Dog: Hot dog with french fries, cheese curds and beef gravy
  • Late Night Dog: Hot dog with fried egg, bacon and cheddar cheese
  • Pork & Beans: Hot dog with baked beans, cheddar cheese and bacon
  • Slaw Dog: Hot dog with coney chili and cole slaw

All are priced at $7, antacid not included. ESPN's Darren Rovell has a preview of the Poutine Dog.

Crain's reports there are more than new hot dogs available (If you aren't hungry now, you will be by the end of this post).

The Burrito Bowl is a fried tortilla shell filled with lettuce, cilantro lime rice, roasted corn and black beans, slow braised chicken or taco meat topped with pico de gallo and cheddar cheese. The cost for your bowl of burrito is $9.

Street tacos are corn or flour tortillas with slow roasted chicken, pork or beef barbacoa topped with pico de gallo, cheddar and cotija cheeses, garnished with onion, cilantro, lime and taco chili sauce. The new taco will run $10.

New to the Tiger Den beer hall, Tiger Club and Labatt Blue Light Jungle are boneless wings, corned beef sandwiches, fresh handmade burgers and natural skin on fries.

I'm now extremely ravenous and need to raid my refrigerator.
