Mario and Rod discuss the "Japan incident"

Watching the Tigers offense put on a hitting show (including a long-awaited home run by Miguel Cabrera) was a lot of fun, but perhaps the most entertaining moment of the game came courtesy of Mario and Rod in the booth.

After Jose Abreu beat out an infield single, the boys in the booth began discussing the importance of running through the bag at first, which led Rod to use the analogy of a track runner, which in turn led Mario to ask Rod if he'd done any running in his younger days, and ... well, the rest is all right here.

I understand there are various versions of a "Rod Allen Drinking Game" out there on the wonderful world-wide Interwebs, and I further understand that almost all of these include instructions to drink heavily any time Rod mentions his playing days in Japan. I would have to imagine, after what went down here in this audio clip, many unsuspecting Tigers fans had to drink everything within a five-mile radius.

For those unfamiliar with what Mario and Rod are referring to, this will be one of the highlights of your week:
