Miguel Cabrera has never been a speedy baseball player, and last season's groin injury sapped what little quickness he had down the stretch. This season, Cabrera appears to be fully healthy. Any doubts of this due to his poor start were squashed when Cabrera tripled off the right field wall in the first inning today.
Cabrera's hit was officially ruled a double with a throwing error by right fielder Sam Fuld, but that's a load of crap. It would have been Cabrera's first triple since April 11, 2013.
