In giving the Tigers a remarkable 5-4 win over the Athletics, Rajai Davis accomplished one of the rarest feats in baseball. That being the bottom of the ninth, game-winning, walk-off grand slam when down three runs. Baseball Almanac calls them "Super Slams." The only other Tiger to pull off the same feat is Alan Trammell in 1988.
It was fitting Trammell was in attendance at tonight's game as part of the 30th anniversary celebration of the 1984 World Champs.
To memorialize the victory, Davis and J.D. Martinez memorialized the Tigers' walk-off win in the most 2014 way possible - a selfie posted on Instagram.
