Anibal Sanchez, Joakim Soria to disabled list

As if the Tigers needed any more bad news on the injury front, it is now being reported that both Anibal Sanchez and Joakim Soria are going on the disabled list.

Soria, Sanchez both to DL. Sanchez likely out 3-4 weeks with pectoral muscle strain, according to Dombrowski.

Anibal Sanchez is expected to miss 3-4 weeks. Tigers will call up Robbie Ray on Wednesday to make start Wednesday.

Joakim Soria today will be placed on the 15-day disabled list with a left oblique strain.

With an offense currently struggling and a bullpen that is still having difficulty closing games effectively, the next few weeks will be a critical time period for the Tigers.

UPDATE

Aside from calling up Robbie Ray to start next week, the Tigers have announced nothing yet with regard to filling Soria's spot in the bullpen.

I suspect #Tigers will make both corresponding moves after today's game. My guesses: RHP Justin Miller and LHP Ian Krol.
