Detroit Tigers predictions for the 2015 season

Every year, the BYB staff makes predictions for the upcoming season. With so much uncertainty surrounding the team, this is the most precarious preseason position the Tigers have been in since the start of their recent run of success. However, that hasn't tempered our optimism, as all but one BYB writer thinks the Tigers will win their fifth consecutive AL Central Division title. With a potential league MVP like Miguel Cabrera in the fold, it's hard to pick against the defending champs.

We've gotten pretty good at predicting what the Tigers going to do. But because we're so lovingly focused on our favorite team, our picks for the other 29 often don't go so well. We tend to have a curious obsession with the Colorado Rockies, as Kurt, myself, and Catherine have all predicted various forms of success for that downtrodden franchise over the past couple years. However, Cat deserves credit for correctly predicting that the Baltimore Orioles would win the AL East last year, something no other BYB writer foresaw.
