Steven Moya's big day caps off rally for Toledo Mud Hens

Toledo Mud Hens 9, Indianapolis Indians 8 (box)

The Mud Hens scored three runs in the top of the ninth inning, and Alberto Cabrera stranded the game-tying run at third base in the bottom of the ninth to give Toledo a wild win over Indianapolis. All three of the Mud Hens' runs in the top of the ninth were scored with two outs. Steven Moya drove in the game-tying and go-ahead runs, and Jefry Marte added some necessary insurance with an RBI double. Moya and Dixon Machado led the team with three hits each. The Mud Hens tallied 16 hits and nine walks against Indianapolis pitching.

COMING UP NEXT: With a win today, the Mud Hens will split their four-game road series with the Indians. Toledo will rely on an unknown talent named Justin Verlander (0-0, 0.00), who is making the first Triple-A start of his career. Righthander Casey Sadler (4-2, 2.52 ERA) will start for Indianapolis.

Brevard County Manatees 14, Lakeland Flying Tigers 0 (box)

This one was over about as quickly as it started. Brevard County scored six runs in the bottom of the second inning and stretched their lead to 11-0 after four innings. Lakeland starter Jonathan Maciel was hammered, giving up 11 runs (seven earned) on 10 hits in 3 1/3 innings. The Manatees tacked on three more runs in the eighth inning when Flygers third baseman Francisco Martinez pitched an inning of mop-up duty. Javier Betancourt was the only offensive standout for Lakeland. He had two hits, including a double, in three at-bats.

COMING UP NEXT: Lakeland will look to get back into the win column in a late (5:05 p.m. ET) start on Sunday. Ryan Longstreth (2-3, 2.66 ERA) will start for the Flying Tigers against Wei-Chung Wang (2-2, 6.39 ERA).

The Erie SeaWolves were trailing the Akron Rubber Ducks 4-0 in the fourth inning when their game was suspended due to weather. The teams will resume their game this afternoon at 1:05 p.m. ET. Upon the conclusion of that game, the teams will play their regularly scheduled series finale. Tommy Collier (0-0, 1.50 ERA) will start for Erie against Ryan Merritt (3-4, 4.02 ERA).

The West Michigan Whitecaps did not even start their game against the Fort Wayne Tincaps last night. The two teams will play a doubleheader today, starting at 1:05 p.m. ET. Yesterday's scheduled starters, Jeff Thompson (2-4, 4.46 ERA) and Michael Kelly (0-0, 19.29 ERA), will start the first game today. Spencer Turnbull (3-1, 3.40 ERA) will start against Fort Wayne's Thomas Dorminy (4-3, 4.82 ERA) in the second game.
