Pawtucket Red Sox 3, Toledo Mud Hens 2 (box)
The Mud Hens took a 2-0 lead into the eighth inning, but a rough outing from reliever Bruce Rondon resulted in a tie game that went into extra innings. The Red Sox won in the 12th inning on a walk-off double from Jackie Bradley Jr., handing Drew VerHagen his first loss of the season. The Mud Hens jumped out to their lead in the sixth inning when Jefry Marte drove in two runs with a two-out RBI single. Xavier Avery reached base three times, including a double earlier in the sixth to set up the scoring opportunity.

Richmond Flying Squirrels 4, Erie SeaWolves 3 (box)
Erie took a 3-2 lead in the top of the eighth inning when they manufactured a run after a Richmond error, but the Flying Squirrels roared back with two runs of their own off righty Zach Reininger to take a 4-3 lead. Richmond closer Josh Osich worked a scoreless ninth with two strikeouts for his 16th save of the year. Tommy Collier was solid for Erie, allowing two runs on five hits in five innings of work. The SeaWolves offense was rather stagnant, save for a two-run homer by Dean Green in the sixth inning.

Peoria Chiefs 2, West Michigan Whitecaps 1 (box)
The Whitecaps got off to a solid start yesterday, scoring a run on two hits in the top of the first inning. That would be all the scoring they would do, however, as they managed just four hits throughout the rest of the game. Peoria starter Jack Flaherty worked 5 1/3 sharp innings, allowing four hits and striking out four. Fernando Perez nearly matched him, but allowed a second run, resulting in his sixth loss of the season. Perez has a 3.74 ERA on the year, but is 0-6.
