When Bob Nightengale of USA Today wrote that the Tigers are preparing to be sellers at the trade deadline, the internet exploded and suddenly everyone was on #TeamSell mode, even though Tigers' General Manager Dave Dombrowski hasn't mentioned a word yet one way or another whether they are going to buy or sell. Local MLive's Chris Iott believes Dombrowski should sell as well as Jay Jaffe from Sports Illustrated on the national level. With the loss to the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday, the Tigers fall one game below .500 at 46-47, however with the addition of the 2nd Wild Card team, the Tigers are only 4 games back of a playoff spot making it a very tough decision on whether they should sell or buy.

If the Tigers are going to sell, they have two players that will attract the most interest. All-Star David Price is currently 9-3 with a 2.32 ERA and a shiny 2.78 FIP, with 8.79 strikeouts per nine innings. Jesse Rogers from ESPN takes a look at the market for Price, particularly with the Cubs. The other player is Yoenis Cespedes, who has all-star numbers (.289/.315/.488, 14 HR, 119 wRC+) but lost out on the final vote. Mike Axisa of CBS Sports takes a look at potential suiters for Cespedes.

Other pending free agents that could appeal to other teams include Joakim Soria, Rajai Davis, Alex Avila and Alfredo Simon.

‘Risky,’ but Victor Martinez takes grounders at 1B - Detroit Free Press, Anthony Fenech
With Miguel Cabrera on the DL, Victor Martinez could see some time at 1B as Marc Krauss and Jefry Marte haven't impressed much. Tigers need to be careful with V-Mart as he had off-season surgery and already spent some time on DL.
