Detroit Tigers Links: The trade deadline heats up as the Tigers remain quiet

Tigers fans are beginning to get very antsy.

Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports

With three days to the trade deadline, Dave Dombrowski is keeping his cards especially close to his vest. Not only have the Tigers not made any moves, there has barely been a mention of the Tigers in any trades talks. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it is a bit surprising when you consider that the only universally accepted "bad" scenario is standing pat.

While the Tigers may not be making moves (yet), the trade deadline is starting heat up. Scott Kazmir, Johnny Cueto, Steve Cishek, Kelly Johnson, and Juan Uribe were traded over the weekend. Yesterday, the Mets, realizing they are going to have to win all of their games 1-0, traded for Tyler Clippard. Additionally, the Angels, looking for outfield help traded for Shane Victorino. With big names such as Cole Hamels, James Shields, not David Price, Aroldis Chapman and all of the San Diego Padres supposedly on the block, look for some big moves in the next three days. And a friendly reminder that you can follow all of the Rumors HERE and all of the completed trades HERE.
