Texts with Dombrowski: 2015 trading deadline

Bless You Boys' sources were able to uncover some of the correspondence from the Tigers' front office.

Boy, that Dave Dombrowksi sure knows how to make a trade deadline interesting. Whether he's acquiring a top-flight ace starting pitcher for a playoff push or selling him off for future roster staples, the Tigers' president and general manager makes sure that we're all glued to our various forms of media delivery every year at the end of July.

This year was an example of the latter, for the first time in a long time. Dombrowski dealt David Price, Yoenis Cespedes, and Joakim Soria for a haul of six prospects highlighted by left-handed starter Daniel Norris, formerly the Blue Jays' top prospect.

As expected, our sources managed to uncover a few of the text message exchanges between Dombrowski and his various contacts from the period surrounding the hectic trading deadline.
