Here are the ugliest uniforms Chris Sale could wear next year if he gets traded

If he thought that White Sox jersey was bad...

Chris Sale made headlines in July when he destroyed an entire locker room’s worth of White Sox throwback jerseys because he didn’t want to wear them during a game against the Tigers.

Now Sale’s name is circulating again because there is discussion he might find himself on the trade market this winter. With that in mind, we decided to look at some of the best vintage jerseys Sale might find himself in next season.

Up first, the Atlanta Braves, a team rumored to be interested in picking Sale up. These retro jerseys aren’t nearly ugly enough to make Sale get scissor-happy.

Even the recent version of those vintage Braves uniforms didn’t look so bad.

What about the eternal favorite Houston Astros stripes? Stripes are supposed to elongate the body. Not sure the 6’6 Sale needs any help looking taller, but this look could really suit him.

Come on, these are great.

The Phillies could be looking to restructure next season, hoping to regain some of their former glory. We could certainly picture Sale wearing this lovely baby-blue ensemble for a throwback game.

Or perhaps if the Rays lose Chris Archer during the offseason and need a new starter named Chris, we might be lucky enough to see Sale don this gorgeous number (Joe Maddon looks like a winner in it, why not Sale?).

Ah, and then the best of them all. The Pirates haven’t yet been name-dropped as an interested camp for Sale, but we think he’d find their offer hard to resist if the Pittsburgh team brought these gems out for special occasions again.

No matter where he ends up, we’re sure Chris will look great.
