Spring training is here, and that means one thing! It's time to get highly invested in a fantasy baseball team you're not going to pay attention to after May 1. Fantasy baseball leagues have a somewhat checkered past at Bless You Boys -- we've had official leagues in the past, sometimes even affiliated with our friends at Yahoo! -- but updates are few and far between. We even had a tagline one year!
I'm not vowing to change that now. As a reliable 8-12th place finisher over the past several years, I will continue my mediocrity as readily as the Chicago White Sox continue to not spend enough on their team. Site updates probably won't happen unless someone gets ambitious in the fanposts, because we have a pretty dang good real team to cover (we hope).
Instead, this thread is a conversation-starter (and a place for you to discuss how badly you overdrafted Justin Verlander). If you're interested in BYB fantasy baseball, answer some/all of these questions.
- Which site (Yahoo/ESPN/CBS) do you prefer?
- Do you prefer rotisserie or head-to-head scoring? Or are you a weirdo that wants to do a points league?
- Would you rather have daily or weekly lineups?
- How big of a league do you prefer?
- Would you like to start a keeper or dynasty league?
Those are just a few of the many questions we'll answer in the coming weeks, but we'd like to get drafts done in time for Opening Day this time around (I think that was an issue once).
