Predict the Tigers' Opening Day 25-man roster

Who's going to get the final rotation spot? The final bullpen spots? The 25th man? You tell us.

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

A little more than 10 days from now the Detroit Tigers will take the field in Miami for Opening Day. Since Justin Upton signed with the Tigers in late January, there haven't been a whole lot of questions as to how the 25-man roster would pan out. That might be good for the team, but it hasn't exactly led to a fun spring training of discussion and debate.

But let's have a little fun and debate a bit anyway, shall we? After all, it's not set in stone.

Daniel Norris' back issues have opened the final spot in the rotation, but Shane Greene appears to have that locked up in his absence. Greene started the 2015 season well before blood clot issues cost him first his effectiveness and then the rest of the year. Now healthy, he'll try to pick up on last year's successes.

Cameron Maybin was hit on the hand in an early spring training game against the Yankees and will begin the season on the disabled list as he recovers from a fracture. Tyler Collins seems set to resume his spot on the roster as a fourth outfielder in the meantime.

And then we get to a little shakier ground. Victor Martinez might start the year on the roster -- but he might be on the DL, too. After hurting his hamstring earlier in the month, he's only just now getting back to baseball activities and still isn't running. That might give a player like Steven Moya a shot after his strong spring, or lead to the Tigers carrying Bryan Holaday if you'd like to stretch it a bit.

The bullpen is no sure thing either and offers the most room to play around. On Thursday, shoulder fatigue issues cropped up for Blaine Hardy, suddenly leading to a question if he could open the season on time. Fellow reliever Alex Wilson might be on the DL as well: Brad Ausmus said the timeline for his return is going to be "tight." Suddenly the back of the bullpen has multiple spots open. There are a couple of candidates you might pencil in. Kyle Ryan and Buck Farmer seem most likely at the moment, but you could make an argument for Bruce Rondon, Bobby Parnell or even a roster spot for Matt Boyd.

So, pull out your Magic 8-ball or gaze into your crystal ball, and tell us how the 25-man roster will look on Opening Day.
