Daniel Norris was roughed up in a rehab start against Indianapolis, giving up five runs in the second inning. He only lasted four innings, and though he struck out six batters, he also walked three. Toledo had a quiet day at the plate save for Casey McGehee. His three hits raised his season batting average to .316, providing Detroit with a little depth if a certain backup infielder were put on waivers at some point. Wynton Bernard also reached base three times in the loss.

McGehee: 3-4, 2B
Bernard: 2-2, R, BB
Huffman: 1-3, 2B, RBI, BB
Norris (L, 0-1): 4 IP, 6 H, 5 ER, 3 BB, 6 SO

Coming up next: The Mud Hens look to turn things around on Thursday in Columbus, with first pitch at 6:35 p.m. EDT.

Erie SeaWolves 7, Bowie Baysox 1 (box)

Jason Krizan paced the Seawolves with four runs driven in, including a bases-clearing triple in the second inning, as Erie jumped all over the Baysox. Tommy Collier picked up his first win of the year with five innings of one-run ball. Dominic Ficociello got in on the fun with a solo dinger in the third inning.

Castro: 1-4, 2 R, RBI
Krizan: 2-4, 3B, 4 RBI
Ficociello: 1-4, HR, R, SO
Collier (W, 1-2): 5 IP, 7 H, ER, BB, 4 SO

Coming up next: Erie travels to Binghamton tomorrow night, where the always reliable "TBD" will start against Andrew Barbosa. The game starts at 6:35 p.m. EDT.

Lakeland Flying Tigers 5, Brevard County Manatees 2 (box)

The Flying Tigers moved back up to .500 on the young season with a win Wednesday afternoon. They scored a run in the sixth, seventh, and eighth to pull away and win. Christin Stewart's dinger will go down as the game-winner, though. A.J. Ladwig's hot start in a Lakeland uniform continued, as he won his third straight decision and struck out a batter per inning.

Stewart: 1-4, HR, R, RBI
Frawley: 2-4, HR, R, RBI, SO
Ladwig (W, 3-0): 6 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, BB, 6 SO

Coming up next: Artie Lewicki (1-1, 4.66) is on the bump at 10:30 a.m. EDT as Lakeland plays in Brevard County once more.

Lake County Captains 8, West Michigan Whitecaps 1 (box)

Yeesh. Will Maddox managed the only two West Michigan hits against the Captains while the team struck out 10 times. Jonathan Maciel blew up in relief, allowing six runs in two innings. Kyle Dowdy also allowed multiple runs in relief, and the rout was on against West Michigan.

Maddox: 2-3, 2B, RBI
Maciel (L, 1-1): 2 IP, 8 H, 6 ER, 0 BB, 2 SO
Smith: 4 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 1 SO
