Tigers prospect Steven Moya hits 2 home runs in Mud Hens loss

Charlotte Knights 5, Toledo Mud Hens 4 (box)

One night after being no-hit by the Mud Hens pitching staff, the Charlotte Knights racked up five runs on nine hits, evening their series with Toledo. Mud Hens starter Buck Farmer threw a pair of scoreless innings before the Charlotte offense tagged reliever Michael Crotta for four runs on five hits and three walks in 1 1/3 innings. Steven Moya was nearly all of Toledo's offense, with two home runs and three RBI in four at-bats.

Binghamton Mets 6, Erie SeaWolves 2 (box)

Erie starter Myles Jaye was roughed up by the Binghamton offense, allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits in 3 2/3 innings. Reliever Matt Crouse wasn't much better, allowing two more runs. The Binghamton bullpen shut the door on Erie's offense, tossing 4 2/3 scoreless innings with only one hit allowed. Dean Green was Erie's offensive standout; he reached base three times and drove in a run.

Dunedin Blue Jays 7, Lakeland Flying Tigers 6 (box)

An eighth inning rally fell just short for the Flying Tigers, who dropped their third straight game to Dunedin on Sunday. Shortstop A.J. Simcox went 3-for-5 with two RBI, while leadoff hitter Ross Kivett reached base three times and scored twice. Standout prospect Christin Stewart drew four (!) walks and homered in the losing effort.

Dayton Dragons 4, West Michigan Whitecaps 3 (box)

Whitecaps starter Eudis Idrogo allowed four runs on seven hits in five innings, resulting in his second loss of the season. While West Michigan's bullpen was able to keep the game close, the Whitecaps offense could not capitalize, going 2-for-10 with runners in scoring position. Steven Fuentes and Arvicent Perez drove in runs for the 'Caps.
