Toledo Mud Hens 7, Charlotte Knights 1 (box)
Thad Weber scattered seven hits over six shutout innings, giving his offense enough time to wake up for an easy win over Charlotte. The Mud Hens scored an early run on a Jordany Valdespin RBI single, but were relatively quiet until a five-run fifth inning. James McCann drew a bases loaded walk before Chad Huffman hit a grand slam off of Charlotte's Chris Beck. Bruce Rondon returned to action for the first time since April 12, but allowed a run on three hits in 2/3 inning.

Clearwater Threshers 4, Lakeland Flying Tigers 2 (box)
Christin Stewart hit his eighth home run of the season, but it was not enough to deliver a win for Lakeland. Joey Pankake also added a solo shot, and the two homers were the extent of the Flying Tigers' offense. They finished the day with five hits and four walks, and were 0-for-4 with runners in scoring position. Starter A.J. Ladwig allowed four runs (three earned) in seven innings and suffered his first loss of the season.

West Michigan Whitecaps 3, Quad Cities River Bandits 2 (box)
Top prospect Beau Burrows earned his first win of the season, throwing 5 2/3 shutout innings with two strikeouts. His offense staked him to three early runs, with Shane Zeile and Will Maddox collecting RBI. Reliever Gerson Moreno made things interesting late, allowing two runs in an inning of work, but the Whitecaps were able to dance out of trouble and come away with the win.
Coming up next: The Whitecaps return home to kick off a three-game series against the Beloit Snappers on Monday. Eudis Idrogo (1-2, 6.14 ERA) will start for West Michigan.

Both Erie and West Michigan were postponed due to inclement weather on Sunday. Erie, who was postponed due to fog, will make up their game against the Trenton Thunder on Saturday, June 11. They will move on to face the Altoona Curve in a four-game home series at Jerry Uht Park. Tommy Collier (2-2, 5.63 ERA) will start against Altoona's Cody Dickson (0-2, 6.23 ERA).
The Whitecaps were able to finish the first game of their doubleheader against the Quad Cities River Bandits, but the second game was postponed due to rain. A makeup has not yet been announced.
