Lehigh Valley IronPigs 4, Toledo Mud Hens 3 (box)
The Mud Hens lost a close one on Friday night in painful fashion, allowing the game-winning run to score on an error. Matt Boyd pitched a solid six innings and struck out nine batters while allowing six hits, two runs, and a walk. Toledo's offense came via three solo home runs: Chad Huffman in the second inning, Casey McGehee in the seventh, and Tyler Collins in the eighth to tie the game. Unfortunately, the IronPigs walked off on a Wynton Bernard error in the bottom of the ninth inning.

Erie SeaWolves 6, Richmond Flying Squirrels 1 (box)
The Flying Squirrels scored one run off of starter Anthony Fernandez in the bottom of the first, but Erie would not allow another runner to score for the rest of the game. The SeaWolves would not tie the game until a Jason Krizan RBI-single in the top of the seventh inning, but the offense exploded for five runs in the eighth. The frame started with two singles and a walk to load the bases before a bases-clearing Corey Jones single. Two more singles, a ground out, and a sacrifice fly capped off the damage.

Charlotte Stone Crabs 5, Lakeland Flying Tigers 3 (box)
Kevin Ziomek made his first start of the season, picking up the loss on Friday against Charlotte. The Stone Crabs knocked in single runs in the first, second, and fourth innings before chasing Ziomek in the fifth with three straight hits after a lineout to start the frame. The Flying Tigers scored their three runs thanks to Casey Frawley, who hit a two-run homer in the third inning and a game-tying single in the fourth. The Lakeland bullpen did not surrender a run in the final 4 2/3 innings, but the offense could not close the two-run gap.

Shane Greene made his first rehab appearance, throwing 42 pitches over three scoreless innings. He allowed just two hits and a walk while striking out five. Beau Burrows came on and pitched five more innings of no-run ball. The Whitecaps scored single runs in each of the sixth through eighth innings, via a David Gonzalez solo shot, a Jose Azocar triple and throwing error, and a Will Allen bases-loaded sacrifice fly. Jake Shull ran into a little trouble in the bottom of the ninth inning, but held on to close out the game.
