Toledo Mud Hens 6, Lehigh Valley IronPigs 3 (box)
Daniel Norris struck out seven hitters in five innings to pick up his first win of the season for Triple-A Toledo. Norris held the IronPigs to two runs (one earned) while his offense managed six runs on eight hits and four walks. Four of those runs came against former No. 1 overall pick Mark Appel, who was unable to make it through the first inning. Chad Huffman had two hits and two RBI for Toledo.

Mud Hens starter Thad Weber allowed three runs on eight hits in six innings, but none of it mattered as Toledo's offense was held to just one hit in a seven-inning game. Casey McGehee had the lone hit for the Mud Hens, who struck out nine times against Lehigh Valley pitching.

Richmond Flying Squirrels 6, Erie SeaWolves 5 (box)
Erie jumped out to an early 4-0 lead, but were unable to make it stand up in the end. Starter Cory Riordan allowed a pair of runs in seven innings while striking out seven, but reliever Ruben Alaniz let it slip away when he allowed four runs in the eighth inning. JaCoby Jones had another good day for Erie with two hits and an RBI. Dominic Ficociello led the SeaWolves' offense with three hits, including a double.

Lakeland Flying Tigers 4, Charlotte Stone Crabs 1 (box)
Ross Kivett and Kade Scivicque hit solo home runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to break a scoreless tie, and the Lakeland pitching staff made the lead stand up for their second consecutive win. Scivicque had three of Lakeland's eight hits and scored twice. Starter Tyler Alexander tossed seven shutout innings, scattering six hits and zero walks.

West Michigan Whitecaps 2, Fort Wayne TinCaps 1 (box)
Fort Wayne held a 1-0 lead for most of this contest, but Leonard Laffita's sacrifice fly scored Shane Zeile in the top of the seventh to tie the game. A Fort Wayne error on another potential sacrifice fly in the eighth gave the Whitecaps the lead, and their bullpen shut the door for their 22nd win of the season. Cam Gibson, who scored the winning run, had a pair of hits and reached base three times. Laffita, Zeile, and Will Maddox all hit doubles.
