Scores, news, and notes from the Detroit Tigers' farm system on Wednesday, May 25, 2016.

Durham Bulls 5, Toledo Mud Hens 3 (box)

Shane Greene was dominant in a 61-pitch rehab start with Toledo, holding the Bulls to four hits in 3 1/3 innings. Greene struck out seven of the 14 batters he faced, including a pair of Bulls to strand a one-out double in the second. The Mud Hens would lose their lead as soon as Greene departed, though. Drew VerHagen allowed a home run to the first batter he faced, and Drake Britton gave up three runs in the next inning to take the loss. Offensively, Chad Huffman and Casey McGehee combined for seven of Toledo's nine hits.

Huffman: 4-5, 2B, 2 RBI
McGehee: 3-4, 2B, RBI, BB
Gose: 0-5, SO
Collins: 0-5, 4 SO
Greene: 3.1 IP, 4 H, 0 ER, 7 SO

Coming up next: The Mud Hens will have to contend with Tampa Bay Rays top prospect Blake Snell (2-3, 3.29 ERA) as Toledo and Durham wrap up their three-game series.

Reading Fightin' Phils 7, Erie SeaWolves 5 (box)

Erie took an early 3-0 lead in this game, and eventually stretched the lead to 4-0 in the top of the sixth. However, starter Anthony Fernandez began to fade in the bottom half of the inning, allowing three runs before departing. Reading eventually took a 5-4 lead, but a JaCoby Jones home run tied the game in the top of the ninth. The score would remain tied until the bottom of the 11th, when Reading's Angelo Mora hit a walk-off home run off SeaWolves reliever Jose Valdez.

D. Green: 3-6, R, SO
McVaney: 2-6, 3B, R, RBI, SO
J. Jones: 1-5, HR, R, 2 RBI, 3 SO
Fernandez: 5.2 IP, 5 H, 3 ER, 2 SO

Coming up next: Josh Turley (0-1, 15.00 ERA) will look to get back on track as Erie and Reading conclude their three-game series.

Lakeland Flying Tigers 12, Dunedin Blue Jays 3 (box)

The Blue Jays held a 3-2 lead after the first inning, where they tagged starter Jeff Thompson for a trio of runs on four hits. It was all Lakeland after that, though. The Flying Tigers scored 10 unanswered runs, including homers from Zach Shepherd and Wade Hinkle. Meanwhile, Thompson cruised through his next five innings, striking out six while not allowing a walk. Oddly, the only Flying Tiger to not record a hit was slugger Christin Stewart (he did score a run, though).

Hinkle: 3-5, 2B, HR, 2 R, 3 RBI, 2 SO
Simcox: 2-5, 2B, 2 R, 2 SO
Scivicque: 2-3, 2B, 2 R, RBI, 2 BB, SO
Shepherd: 1-5, HR, R, 4 RBI, 2 SO
Thompson (W): 6.0 IP, 6 H, 3 ER, 6 SO

Coming up next: Endrys Briceno (1-2, 6.20 ERA) will get the start for Lakeland as they finish up their series with Dunedin.

The West Michigan Whitecaps and Bowling Green Hot Rods were postponed on Wednesday due to inclement weather. The two teams will play a doubleheader on Thursday starting at 11:35 a.m. ET. Matt Hall (5-0, 0.69 ERA) will start the first game for the Whitecaps, and Toller Boardman (3-3, 1.53 ERA) is scheduled to start the second.
