The best part about watching a game in your hometown is the excitement that home team announcers bring to the game. While most try to remain a touch impartial, they cheer right along with you in the big moments. Like a go ahead home run in the 8th.

The worst part of living in Chicago as a Tigers fan is Hawk Harrelson. However, there are a few moments that his extreme homerism does produce joy for opposing fans. Like a go ahead home run in the 8th.

That’s not quite the record 63 seconds of silence after a Jhonny Peralta walk-off, but it’s just as satisfying. Here’s hoping for a lot more silence tomorrow.
