Winter break is supposed to be just that: a break. It’s usually the time of year we see players getting married, or heading out on their boats in Florida to catch enormous fish. But for some players there’s no rest during the cold winter months.
Staying in peak physical condition isn’t easy, and quite a few Tigers have taken to social media lately to show that they aren’t slowing down just because the season is over. J.D. Martinez demonstrated he still has his swing in top form, and Justin Verlander wants the world to know he’s ready to go for Opening Day.
Now Miguel Cabrera is in the mix, posting a video via the official MLB Twitter showing he’s still in beast mode in spite of Comerica Park being dusted in snow.
