The schedule for this year’s spring training radio and TV broadcast has been released. On Tuesday, the Tigers announced that 21 games would be on radio, either via 97.1 FM, or at 1270 AM. Seven of its games will be available on Fox Sports Detroit, either directly or in coordination with the YES Network and Fox Sports South.
Per the usual, Dan Dickerson and Jim Price will call the scheduled spring games on the radio. The five TV broadcast Lakeland games will contain an alternating schedule of Rod Allen, Mario Impemba, and Kirk Gibson.
Among those televised games are the March 11 matchup against the Yankees, and the March 12 game versus the Mets. The final spring game between the Marlins at Jupiter is not yet scheduled to be broadcast on TV, but it will be available on 97.1 The Ticket. As always, there exists the possibility that the MLB Network will pick up additional spring games.
